FAUX FUR AND LEATHER

It is more than safe to say that I have had the craziest couple of days. We had our uni ball last week, I had work all weekend and then a deadline this Monday. Oh and to top it off a dental emergency which has been an absolute ball ache too! My stress levels have been ridiculous. But today was the first day I've been able to chill out, and I have also finished uni for the term which means I get to chill out that extra bit more. Well until the other deadlines come rolling in, everyones pretty much gone home now for Easter and I am so stoked to get myself back to Birmingham too! Anyway that is enough of my ramblings, this is todays outfit of the day.

The weather hasn't been the best lately which is annoying considering its Spring. So today I attempted to wrap up warm with a pastel blue turtle neck jumper, a faux leather skirt, my fur coat and my trusty docs. The pastel blue jumper is quite daring for me as I'm not one for colour, so teaming it up with all black meant I was able to creep into my emo-esque comfort zone that teeny bit more. I am obsessed with this leather skirt, like words cannot explain my love for it. Theres cute little suede pockets on it which make it different to the normal leather skirt, H&M did well with this gem. Oh and my dark lips came out today, Mac 'Cyber' wins my heart every single time I wear it.

WARMTH

So I promised myself that I would try my hardest to get back into blogging this year, I feel terrible about abandoning this blog considering there was a time that I was proper into it! Some of you probably remember a street style blog that I made about a year ago, well the plan is to get back into that ASAP after I submit my final deadlines. Just going to get working on changing the layout and buying the domain, if anyone wants to help out then give me a shout! That’s enough of my ramblings for now; I thought I’d do an outfit of the day post. Yeah, they are still as awkward as ever because I never quite know what to do when it comes to getting in front of the camera! Queue bitch face Reen.

The last few days we’ve had a bit of sun and no sighting of rain! Wales is full of rain normally so I guess it’s kind of nice to not have to fight the stormy weather. I actually think this is my fave type of weather because the faux fur is allowed to come out and I don’t end up walking around looking like a drenched rat – which is always a bonus I guess! This faux fur coat is probably the warmest thing I’ve ever come across and was a gem from Warehouse a few years back but still has its safe spot in my wardrobe. 

As per, the rest of me is in black! I do live by wearing black clothing ALL of the time, it is just effortless and my eye for some reason gets drawn to the colour, my wardrobe is 99% black clothing. The photo does it no justice but I’m actually in a velvet croptop, which I absolutely adore. I’ve always been a sucker for velvet! Teamed with a pair of skinny jeans for this look the velvet is super casual, but velvet works extremely well on a night out when styled well too! Miss-Guided you did well with this one, thanks a bunch!

The shoes are my Vagabonds, which my lovely friends got me for my 21^st birthday. To say I’m obsessed with Vagabonds is probably the understatement of the year; I even embarrassingly cried tears of happiness when I opened these bad boys. My friends have ripped it out of me since because I’m known as the girl who quite literally never cries. I guess I may be a teeny weeny bit in love with them and I have lived in them ever since, I probably should point out that they are hella comfy too!

Jewellery wise I’ve overdone it, as per. I feel naked when I’m not wearing this much though!  My housemate pointed out I was only wearing 8 rings which is quite minimal for me, so I guess I’m slowly learning how to cut down! My fave is my Pandora birthstone ring, which luckily for me is my fave colour! I’ve also got my cheeky Casio out, which is probably the most basic but best watch I have ever owned.

Please excuse the ultimate bitch moody face in these pictures, when it comes to these OOTD posts I never quite know what to do with myself! I've said sorry now for looking like a moody cow so lets ramble on about what I wore! This is actually yesterdays OOTD but I didn't quite have time to post it because of chills and packing up to move back home. Yesterday was such a nice day the sun was shining, and me and my housemate cleaned the garden after the party a couple of weeks back because it was in the biggest state ever. Well done us because it actually looks slightly pretty now! 

My dress I'm wearing is becoming the love of my life, not even joking! After attending the Chrissie Pegg bloggers event I was given a gift card from the lovely guys at St Davids Shopping Centre so decided I'd spend it on cute little dresses and this was one of them from H&M! I got it two sizes bigger purely because it was the last one in H&M, but luckily I have managed to tie the straps together at the back so it has a halter neck-esque vibe to it! The print has a very mosaic feel to it which I find very exciting to play around with when it comes to heaps of jewellery (my absolute fave). Loads of chunky rings, one too many bracelets and over the top ear rings and I am in my absolute element! The JuJus I'm wearing have become one of my essential items of Summer, so comfy and pretty as fuck so I'm defo going to have to invest in different colours over this Summer! It was quite a pickle when it came to deciding between clear and black JuJu's, but the clear glittery ones stole my heart and they just seem to go with so much more in my wardrobe when the sun is shining!

L A Z Y G A L

Bank holidays are always fun, especially when it means getting a 3 day weekend off from work! I've been doing work experience in a PR&Marketing company, and it has been cool as fuck but being a student getting used to the office hours has been tough! So this weekend has been a saviour as I've been able to catch up on sleep, alcohol, socialising and plenty of food! Today I'm currently sat in the sunny garden of Chaiholics with Josie and a cardamom iced chai latte- it's not on the menu but I defo recommend you try it gaaahhh it is heaven!

Enough of my rambling now, this is meant to be an OOTD post so I'll ramble on about that instead! I'm wearing my Levi's which have become a staple component of my wardrobe ever since I found them for a lovely price tag of £7 from Oasis market in Birmingham. Everyone needs a pair of Levi's in their wardrobe, but I cannot justify the £25 that many people retail them at - I'm a bargain hunter so no way am I splashing that much cash when I know many of these places are exploiting my consumerist needs! I opted for a crop top today to make my look more suited to the sunshine, even though its black ffs but if you know me then you will know that I cannot resist the colour black! I was hoping my shirt would pop some colour into this OOTD, this was a cheeky little bargain from a charity shop on Albany road in Cardiff, it's so oversized and heavenly and the so is the price tag to this (£4 - I know so crazy!). Ever since I got my Dr.Martens I have lived in them, they are so comfy and just seem to go with everything. If you haven't got a pair in your life then you need them, I got mine from Motel Rocks with 20 percent NUS discount which all of us students love. Make up wise I opted for a very bold black lipstick from MAC, which I have been nervous about wearing ever since I got it. However, Friday night was the first time I plucked up the courage to try it out and surprisingly it grew on me and I have lived in it all weekend.

S T R I P E S & S U N S H I N E

So for the whole of last week I was trapped in the library cramming in two deadlines that were due last Friday. There was so much work to do that I was in the library for 24 hours straight, which was the biggest fucking nightmare ever. Never again! So this weekend I've treated myself to a lazy weekend to catch up on very much needed sleep, a few drinks, retail therapy and loads of grub! I don't even feel guilty, I think I have deserved it after the week from hell! 

Todays OOTD has been quite casual because plans were extremely last minute. The weather has been pretty hit and miss lately which I guess we can all agree on is annoying! All I want is silly amounts of sun please! But today I thought it would be a great chance to whack out my mom jeans and a striped cami top. These jeans are ridiculously comfortable and as soon as I spotted them for £4 in a charity shop yesterday I could not resist. This is quite a big step for a girl like me, I live in skinny jeans and feel so frumpy when I wear anything else! But these fit so well, it is safe to say that I'm in love! I thought popping on my chunky boots would dress up this outfit a little bit for lunch, and teamed them up with some white frilly socks so the frill could sneakily peak through the top. I'm a huge fan of frilly socks! The mini backpack is something that I had been trying to get my claws into for ages, they look super cute and perfect for day trips!

Jewellery wise I opted for a gold chunky chain, I fucking love this chain its brill and dresses up literally anything! I'm also wearing a golden cuff bracelet on the top of my arm with a few spikes on it to toughen the look up a bit and silly amounts of rings which is the norm for me! Red lipstick is something that I cannot and never will get enough of, and when MAC were offering 2 lipsticks for £20 the other day I knew it would be the biggest mistake if I didn't invest. MAC lipstick will always have a place in my heart, forever and ever I promise (I love you MAC)! To top it off and add a bit more colour (something I'm not great at usually doing) I popped a scarf on my head which was a bit of material that I got from a charity shop for £1. It is so beautiful and has so many colours to die for and perfect when my hair is being a pain in the arse!
